Spokane County Explorer Search & Rescue
"We serve so that others may live!""
About ESAR
Accepting new members!  Presentation to home school groups October 6th and New Member Orientation October 16th!

Spokane County Explorer Search & Rescue was formed in 1970. This unit was one of the first search & rescue teams to be created within the Pacific NW region. The team operates under the jurisdiction of the Spokane County Sheriff Department in conjunction with the Washington Explorer Search & Rescue Association (WESAR) and the Boy Scouts of America.

ESAR is a program for high school teens and adult mentors. We specialize in the search for missing persons throughout Spokane County and our state. We recover the missing and injured and search for evidence at crime scenes. Our young men, women, and parents are trained and certified to Washington State standards to ensure safety and professionalism.

If interested we would encourage you to contact us to learn about this exciting opportunity to serve your  community and develop important life skills that will lead you into your college and professional career.
