Inside_the_snow_caveWashington Explorer Search and Rescue Spokane City/County unit is a youth organization within the Boy Scouts of America. Even thought it is a youth organization the youth always look towards the adults in the group for guidance.

Explorer Search and Rescue (ESAR) in Spokane City/County is the oldest group within the SAR community in Spokane, other organizations within the SAR Community look towards ESAR for the latest technology available.

ESAR in Spokane is just one of many programs within the state of Washington. Washington Explorer Search and Rescue (WESAR) meets quarterly to discuss the SAR related activities within the state and supporting counties.

ESAR as we now it today was started in 1970 with one goal in mind, to provide highly trained volunteers to provide a community service in time of need, Today we still continue to provide this service to our community. 

We have searched from state line to state line and also within the surrounding states.
